Description
The Andaman Islands are an Indian archipelago in the Bay of Bengal. These roughly 300 islands are known for their palm-lined, white-sand beaches, mangroves and tropical rainforests. The capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands is the Andamanese town of Port Blair. It is the home to many administrative headquarters of the region, as well as historical and natural sightseeing attractions. The capital of the Nicobar Islands is Car Nicobar.
Day 01 : Airport Pick up + Cellular Jail Light and Sound Show
Our representative will receive you at Veer Saverkar Airport, Port Blair and will escort to the hotel, he will also assist you to do hotel check-in formalities. Afterlunch visit the famous Cellular Jail has a pride of place inIndias freedom struggle. Many a stalwart were imprisoned here. The three storey prison has been declared a national memorial, constructed by Britishers in 1906 and is a pilgrimage destination for freedom fighters.
Post completion of this trip, we drop you back to your hotel.
Note: Incase Light and Sound show at Cellular Jail is called-off due to weather and maintenance conditions, efforts will be made to arrange for alternate sightseeing and also to arrange for the show at some other time during the itinerary, only if time permits.
Day 02 : Port Blair – Havelock (Radha Nagar Beach) + Havelock Stay
Early morning departure by Govt. ferry / Private Cruise to Havelock Island – (It is 38kms by sea from Port Blair. it takes 2.5 hours). On arrival at Havelock Island, our representative will receive and escort you to Hotel Check Inn & After Lunch Trip For Radhanagar Beach. Radhanagar Beach (or Beach No. 7) is the jewel in the crown of Havelock Island. It truly is a mesmerizing curve of white sand with perfectly colored blue waters, all lined by lush forest and palm trees. An ideal beach for sun basking and bathing. Later return back to your hotel. Overnight at Havelock Island.
Day 03 : Kalapatathar Beach + Have-Lock Island-Port Blair
Visit the Kalapathar beach and spend rest of the day at leisure enjoying white sand beaches. In the evening catch the afternoon ferry and return to Port Blair. Our representative will meet you at Port Blair and drop you to your hotel for overnight stay.
Note: Do note that you will have to check out the hotels before the trip begins. Your luggage will be kept in a kiosk safely. Our representative will get the luggage before you board the ferry back to the other island.
Ferry Timing from Havelock to Port Blair is around 4:00 PM.
Day 04 : City Tour
Start your day by visiting some of the best city attractions in the Andaman Islands. Visit the famous Chatham Saw Mill, which is amongst the oldest sawmill in Asia. The saw mill is named after this island. Then proceed to Anthropological Museum that hosts the tools, the pictures and the history of the aboriginal tribes in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Post this proceed to the Fisheries Museum and Naval Marine museums that host varieties of fishes in Andaman Islands. Take a break and refresh yourself with varieties of delicious food options in the Andaman Islands. We then begin our journey to the famous Cellular Jail, which hosted India’s most famous political prisoners. One among them was Veer Savarkar.
The Veer Savarkar Airport is named after this freedom fighter.
Day 05 : Airport Drop
Drop to the Airport. Return home with sweet memories of this exotic destination, the Andaman Islands.
